If one wants to find how mismanagement is the order of the day in Jammu and Kashmir's administration, the fiasco pertaining to the order of one-month additional salary to the polling staff could serve as a valid point of reference.
This has perhaps happened for the first time in the administrative history of the state that an official order on April 16 this year declaring that the government employees, who discharged their duties as polling staff for municipal and Panchayat polls in 2018, will be given one month additional salary by April 24, 2019.
