Jammu, March 13 -- The Government has assured Junior KAS officers of the 2018 and 2019 batches that necessary steps are being taken to address their concerns regarding quasi-permanent status and departmental examinations.
In response to a query raised by Mr. Ajaz Ahmad Jan (A.Q. No. 1097) in the Legislative Assembly, the Government clarified:
(a) The 2018 and 2019 batches of Junior KAS officers have not yet been declared quasi-permanent despite completing five years of service due to administrative reasons. However, the Government is actively working on resolving the matter.
(b) Rule 16 of SRO-386 mandates the conduct of departmental exams within two years of service. However, no such exams have been held for the 2018-2024 batches due to...
