JAMMU, April 6 -- In observance of Ashtami and Mahanavami, the NSS Units of Government Gandhi Memorial (GGM) Science College, Jammu, spearheaded a meaningful environmental initiative titled the "Save Tawi Campaign" at the Bikram Chowk Ghat on the banks of the Tawi River.

Over two days, around 50 NSS volunteers actively participated in cleanliness drives and awareness activities, emphasizing the urgent need to combat river pollution, especially from plastic waste. The campaign focused on raising awareness about key issues such as plastic hazards, water pollution, biodiversity loss, and the cultural significance of natural resources.
