KATHUA, Jan. 31 -- Today, BIS Jammu and Kashmir Branch Office organized an exposure visit for students of Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Kathua Students to Jay Kay Industries at Govindsar, Kathua. The objective of the visit was to make students quality-conscious by giving them exposure to a BIS-certified manufacturing unit.
During the visit students visited industry and were apprised of the role of BIS in protecting the rights of consumers through standards and conformity assessment. The ISI Mark Scheme provides a third-party guarantee of product quality, safety, and reliability to consumers.
