JAMMU, Feb. 7 -- A delegation from the All Jammu and Kashmir Graduate Engineers Association (Civil), led by its President Er. Gopal Sharma, met with the Minister for Jal Shakti, Javed Rana, to address pressing concerns faced by engineers in the department.
The delegation highlighted the severe staff shortage, particularly at the Superintending Engineer (S.E) and Chief Engineer (C.E) levels, with multiple retirements leaving key positions vacant. It was revealed that by March 31, only two C.Es would remain against the sanctioned strength of 21, while 29 S.E posts and over 247 AEE posts also remain unfilled.
