VIJAYPUR, Feb. 1 -- In celebration of World Wetland Day, students of Government Degree College Vijaypur visited the Gharana Wetland under the guidance of Dr. Vandana Verma, Principal of the college. The visit aimed to raise awareness among students about the crucial role wetlands play in maintaining biodiversity and ecological balance.
The visit was part of the practical coursework of the Department of Environmental Sciences and the Ecoclub, and it combined environmental education with traditional agricultural practices. During the visit, students engaged in bird watching, using high-power binoculars to observe various resident and migratory bird species at the wetland.
