UDHAMPUR, Feb. 22 -- In a celebration of linguistic diversity and cultural heritage, the Department of Dogri, in collaboration with the Department of Urdu, marked February 21st as International Mother Language Day, also known as Matribhasha Diwas. Under the esteemed patronage of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta, the event aimed to foster a deeper appreciation for mother tongues and multilingualism in education.

Themed "Multilingual Education: A Pillar of Learning and Intergenerational Learning," the event underscored the pivotal role of multilingualism in preserving and promoting regional languages and cultures, aligning with initiatives such as the National Education Policy (NEP) and the three-language policy.
