RS PURA, Dec. 29 -- An awareness programme on Disaster Management and Civil Defence was successfully organised by the Disaster Management Committee in collaboration with NSS Unit of Government Degree College, R.S. Pura on 29 December 2025. The programme aimed to sensitize students about disaster preparedness, response mechanisms, and the importance of civil defence in safeguarding life and property.
The programme featured expert resource persons Swarn Singh, Rajesh Singh, and Aman Singh (SDRF, 2nd Battalion Jammu), who delivered informative sessions on disaster risk reduction, first aid, emergency response, and community participation during natural and man-made disasters.
