Jammu, April 8 -- The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) and Women Development Cell of Government Degree College (GDC) Paloura, Mishriwala, under the aegis of IQAC, organized an Awareness cum Interaction Programme focused on the "Prevention of Sexual Harassment at Workplace" (POSH) Act, 2013.
The event was structured into three impactful sessions aimed at sensitizing students and staff about workplace safety and legal safeguards under the POSH Act.
In the first session, Ms. Meenu Padha, a practicing lawyer at the High Court of J&K and Ladakh, delivered a detailed talk on the provisions of the POSH Act.
She elaborated on the legal definitions of sexual harassment, committee composition, complaint procedures, and the penalties involved.
