AKHNOOR, March 10 -- Government Degree College (GDC) Akhnoor celebrated International Women's Day with great zeal and zest under the aegis of the Women's Studies Centre. This event was guided by worthy Principal, Dr. Romilla Malla Bhat, and focused on the theme "Accelerate Action," by undertaking legal aspect in view.
The Chief Guest for the occasion, Ms. Arushi Shukla, Judicial Magistrate First Class in Akhnoor, delivered an insightful address on the legal aspects of gender equality during a Women's Day event. She emphasized the constitutional safeguards offered under Articles 14, 15, and 16, which prohibit discrimination on the grounds of sex and ensure equal opportunities for all, including provisions for special protection for women.
