Jammu, Feb. 3 -- The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of the Crime Branch J&K has booked two individuals for allegedly manipulating the medical admission process at SKIMS Soura, Srinagar, by producing fake certificates under reserved categories.
The case, registered at the Police Station EOW Srinagar, has exposed serious loopholes in professional admissions and raised concerns over malpractice in the system.
Investigators said the accused, a resident of Ajas in Bandipora, managed to secure admission to the MBBS course in 2023 by presenting forged "Person with Disability" (PWD) and "Economically Weaker Section" (EWS) certificates, despite not being eligible.
