Anantnag, June 18 -- Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department in South Kashmir's Anantnag district has come under scanner as reports related to procurement of grocery items for Quarantine centers at Maximum Retail Price (MRP) have surfaced in official corridors.
According to reports, the department has made procurements in lakhs for different Quarantine centers of the district during last two months.
They said that department has 'intentionally' procured grocery items from one wholesale dealer on highest price. "The procurement has been made on maximum retail price (MRP) and not on wholesale rates," official sources revealed to Early Times.
