Jammu, Sept. 1 -- Flash floods have caused extensive damage to the border grid, including fencing and outposts, along the International Border (IB) in Jammu, Samba, and Kathua districts. Security forces remain on heightened alert to prevent any attempt by terrorists to exploit the situation and infiltrate into Indian territory.

Even as government machinery is engaged in large-scale rescue and relief operations to cope with the unprecedented floods, authorities have reiterated that border security remains a top priority.
