Jammu, Dec. 2 -- For the first time in the past so many years , there is going to be no official holiday on December 5, on account of the birthday of National Conference founder, Sheikh Abdullah.

The practice was in vogue since Abdullah's death in 1982. But after J&K's reorganization in 2019 the holiday has been declared null and void.

What is more ironic to find is the fact that ever since their release from captivity, both Farooq Abdullah as well as his son Omar Abdullah haven't uttered a single word on cancellation of the holiday on Sheikh's birthday.
