UDHAMPUR, July 25 -- In a major step towards enhancing social security for workers across the country, the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has launched the SPREE Scheme 2025. The scheme, which stands for Scheme for Promoting Registration of Employers and Employees, will remain in effect from July 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025. According to Dushyant Pandey, Regional Director In-Charge of ESIC for Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh, the scheme is designed to bring unregistered employers and contract/temporary workers under the ESIC umbrella without fear of penalties or inspections.
