JAMMU, Dec. 28 -- Government Railway Police Jammu, Wing of Jammu and Kashmir police has registered 18 cases in 2025 and total 30 FIR's under sections of NDPS Act during the last two years, which is manifold higher number to preceding period, leading to the arrest of 33 drug peddlers, with seizures of contraband items worth more than ?1.65 cr market price. While tightening the noose on drug peddlers, Railway police sent two most notorious peddlers behind bars, under PITNDPS Act-1988, an action first time initiated by this unit against accused criminals.
