Kathua, March 23 -- An encounter broke out between the security forces and terrorists at Sanyal, Hiranagar in Jammu's Kathua district on Sunday. Sources said that on a tip off about the presence of terrorists at Sanyal, joint team of the security forces launched a search operation this afternoon. "As soon as the search party reached near the suspected spot hiding terrorists opened fire, which was retaliated triggering a gunfight. A group of Jaish terrorists is believed to be trapped," sources said. The encounter was on when this report was filed.
