UDHAMPUR, Sept. 9 -- Continuing its drive against the drug menace, Udhampur Police apprehended a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
During a special naka at Gadna Majalta, a police party of PS Majalta led by its SHO intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK14J 7490 coming from Ramkote towards Majalta. On checking, the driver was found carrying 10 grams of heroin (chitta).
The accused has been identified as Rahul Sharma S/O Jograj Sharma R/O Ramnagar who has been arrested on the spot.
In this connection, FIR No. 70/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Majalta and investigation has been set into motion.
