Jammu, Jan. 7 -- At a time when several government schools, particularly in rural areas, are grappling with an acute shortage of teaching staff, a significant number of teachers have been found performing clerical and office-related duties in Education Department offices across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
Taking serious note of the situation, the Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) on Wednesday issued fresh and strict instructions directing that teachers must not be deployed for office or clerical work in the offices of Chief Education Officers (CEOs), Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs), or any other administrative units of the department.
