Doda, Sept. 6 -- In a swift and compassionate intervention, Doda Police averted a tragic incident by rescuing a woman and her two children who were about to jump into the Chenab River. Acting on timely information, a team from Police Station Doda, led by the SHO, rushed to the spot and successfully prevented the suicide attempt, thereby saving three precious lives.
The woman has been identified as Shamima Akhter, wife of Irfan Ahmed and resident of Golibagh, Doda. She was subsequently handed over to the Women Police Station Doda for counseling and necessary legal assistance.
