REASI, Jan. 29 -- District Police Reasi today conducted a joint Anti-Begging Drive in collaboration with PARYS (Smile Shelter Home) at various locations across Katra town with the objective of curbing the menace of begging and ensuring the welfare and rehabilitation of destitute persons.
During the course of the drive, 11 beggars were rescued from different public places in Katra town. All the rescued individuals were subsequently shifted to Smile Shelter Home, DD Panghal, Katra, for proper care, shelter and rehabilitation as per established norms.
