REASI, Jan. 22 -- District Police Reasi, continuing its strict enforcement of law and order, apprehended one person for violating prohibitory orders related to possession of liquor. On 21.01.2026, a police team at PCP Panthal under Police Post Kakryal apprehended Manohar Lal S/O Giyan Chand R/O Taleen, Tehsil Katra, District Reasi, who was found in possession of 12 bottles of liquor (DMB Whisky). It is pertinent to mention that the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Katra, vide Order No. SDM/K/2025-26/81-96 dated 02.01.2025, had prohibited possession and consumption of liquor in various notified areas, including within a 100-meter radius on both sides of the Tikri-Panthal Road.
