BATOTE, Jan. 30 -- District Police Ramban responded promptly to a distress call received on emergency helpline no 112 regarding outbreak of fire at the residential house of Chattu Ram S/o Lafi, resident of Ward No. 04, Panchayat Chakwa, Batote.
Immediately upon receiving the call, a police party from Police Station Batote, along with the VDG Group Chakwa, rushed to the spot. During the preliminary enquiry conducted on the spot, it was revealed that the house is a three-storey structure and the fire originated from the top storey, reportedly due to a suspected short circuit. The fire spread rapidly from the upper roof, engulfing the entire structure.
