Jammu, Jan. 27 -- Despite the Congress party's repeated criticism of the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre for not restoring Jammu and Kashmir's statehood, the National Conference on Monday clarified that it does not see any need for confrontation with the Union Government over the issue.

Senior National Conference leader and MLA from Hazaratbal, Salman Ali Sagar, expressed optimism about the restoration of statehood, stating that it is a matter of process rather than immediate orders.
