Jammu, Feb. 8 -- The Congress party, reeling from its humiliating third consecutive defeat in the Delhi Assembly elections, finds itself in an increasingly vulnerable position within the Jammu and Kashmir coalition government.

With another zero-seat performance in Delhi, the party has lost significant bargaining power, leaving it unable to assert its influence in the National Conference-led administration.

Despite being a coalition partner, Congress has been sidelined by the ruling National Conference (NC), which has not consulted the party on any major policy decisions since the formation of the government on October 16, 2024.
