UDHAMPUR, April 17 -- District Development Commissioner Saloni Rai today handed over keys and ice boxes of three-wheeler e-rickshaws to progressive fishermen of the district under Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana.
While interacting with the beneficiaries, the District Development Commissioner congratulated them and highlighted the Government's continued efforts to support the fisheries sector.
She informed that the Department of Fisheries, besides generating employment through the construction of carp ponds, trout Raceways and Backyard Mini-RAS units, is also extending financial and logistical assistance to fish farmers and fishermen by providing them with three-wheeler e-rickshaws.
