POONCH, March 13 -- A grand awareness camp, part of the Swachh Survekshan 2024 initiative, was organised today here at Prade Park to promote sanitation and environmental responsibility among the people. Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal was the chief guest, who emphasized the critical need for maintaining sanitation, waste segregation, and processing for a sustainable urban environment.
The programme was organised by the Municipal Council and attended by ADC, Tahir Mustafa Malik; President Bar Association Sunil Kumar Sharma and a large number of civil society members.
Speakers at the event highlighted the need for community participation in waste management and the role of collective efforts in improving the city's cleanliness rankings.
