KATHUA, May 6 -- A meeting of the District Road Safety Committee was today held under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Kathua Dr. Rakesh Minhas here at the DC Office Complex.
The meeting was attended by Executive Engineers of PWD (R&B) Kathua, Basohli, Billawar and Hiranagar, representatives from Degree Colleges, BRO, Police, National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) and other concerned departments.
Detailed discussions were held regarding the corrective and safety measures at vulnerable spots. Emphasis was also laid on ensuring smooth plying of transport near congested locations and enhancing commuter safety at critical points such as the Bus Stand and GMC Kathua.
