JAMMU, Aug. 31 -- Bringing long-awaited relief to a group of Floriculture Department workers, the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh has upheld their regularization after nearly three decades of continuous service, dismissing the Union Territory administration's plea against the order.
A Division Bench comprising Justice Sindhu Sharma and Justice Rajesh Sekhri, while hearing the matter through virtual mode, ruled that denial of regular status to these workers, despite their uninterrupted service since 1993, amounted to "grave injustice".
