JAMMU, Oct. 27 -- Minister for Social Welfare, Sakeena Itoo today said that the construction of new Women's Hostels is under active consideration of the department, while as the possibility for establishing Women's Hostel in district Kishtwar will be explored. The Minister said this while replying to a question raised by Legislator, Shagun Parihar regarding Women's Hostels in Legislative Assembly today.
The Minister informed the house that 12 Women's Hostels under the Higher Education department, with capacity of around 1200, are functional in various districts across Jammu and Kashmir.
