Jammu, March 5 -- Despite the ruling National Conference (NC) reaching out to the Congress to ensure smooth functioning of the ongoing budget session, the grand old party is facing mounting pressure from its grassroots workers to expose the NC regime over its alleged failure to fulfill promises made in its election manifesto.
Sources within the Congress revealed that party leaders are particularly upset over the address of the Lieutenant Governor, which, according to them, focused primarily on the schemes and initiatives of the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre, while ignoring key commitments made by the National Conference during the assembly elections.
