Jammu, Sept. 10 -- The Indian Army conducted a Battlefield Nursing Assistant (BFNA) Cadre for 40 personnel of the Jammu and Kashmir Police at Akhnoor with the aim of enhancing first-aid preparedness in battlefield and emergency situations.

The cadre focused on equipping police personnel with essential lifesaving skills required during combat operations as well as civil emergencies.

Training included management of bleeding, airway obstruction, fractures, shock and casualty evacuation under battlefield conditions. Practical demonstrations, interactive sessions and realistic simulations were employed to ensure participants gained confidence in handling medical emergencies in high-pressure environments.
