JAMMU, Jan. 3 -- Devansh Yadav, IAS, Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation and CEO, Smart City Project, today visited the Home for the Aged & Infirm (Vridh Ashram) along with senior officers of JMC.
During the visit, the Commissioner undertook a comprehensive round of both blocks of the Home, interacted with the inmates as well as the management, and enquired about their well-being and any specific issues faced by them.
Dr. Dinesh Gupta, Secretary of the Home, apprised the Commissioner that although the Home has an intake capacity of 90 residents, it is presently able to accommodate only about 45 inmates due to the non-availability of lifts in both G+2 blocks.
