Jammu, June 30 -- Citizen Forum President R K Chadha appealed Prime Minister Narendra Modi to give a major respite for the Emergency Commissioned Officers and Short Service Commissioned Officers , who fought 1965 and 1971 wars.
The Union Ministry of Defence (MoD) has considered them for an Ex Gratia amount. These officers, as of now are not receiving any monetary help, after they are relieved from the army. In these difficult times such officers who were relieved and could not be placed at some other field are passing very bad time at the fag end of their lives.
