THATHRI, July 3 -- In a joint effort to encourage cultural introspection and academic expression, the Chenab Times Foundation, in collaboration with the Government Degree College (GDC) Thathri, has announced the organisation of an online essay writing competition centred on the theme of "Chenabi Identity."
The initiative seeks to engage undergraduate students in reflecting on the cultural, linguistic, and social uniqueness of the Chenab Valley, a region in Jammu and Kashmir often underrepresented in mainstream discourse. The competition is open to students enrolled at GDC Thathri, who may submit essays in English, Urdu, or local dialects such as Bhaderwahi or Sarazi.
