NEW DELHI, July 23 -- Some section of media has reported that on Jammu - Delhi Railway line in Kangra, a large portion of the bridge foundation got washed away, a big tragedy averted. It is informed that Chakki Railway Bridge between Pathankot Cantt- Kandrori stations on Pathankot- Jalandhar Cantt route, experienced flash floods, water level rose on 20.07.2025 & 21.07.2025. Northern Railway has already imposed speed caution of 20 Kmph on the bridge since 01.08.2024. There were no chances of any unfortunate incident vis-a-vis Rail operations on the said bridge. The bridge is safe for train operations.
