BISHNAH, Jan. 16 -- Government Degree College, Bishnah celebrated National Youth Day on 16th January 2026 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, a great philosopher, visionary leader, and youth icon of India. The programme was organised by the Youth Red Cross Club of the college in collaboration with the NCC Unit, under the aegis of the worthy Principal, Dr. Shallu Samyal.
The celebration aimed to inspire the youth by spreading the ideals and teachings of Swami Vivekananda, who firmly believed in the strength and potential of young minds. His timeless message to the youth, "Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached," served as the central theme of the programme and resonated throughout the event.
