JAMMU, Feb. 27 -- With an aim to ensure connectivity and safety of the residents, the Border Road Organisation (BRO) under Project Sampark carried out snow clearance operation in Doda and Kishtwar districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
A Defence spokesman said Project Sampark of BRO sprung into action by deploying all the machineries, resources and manpower to undertake the critical task of snow clearance and provide safe passage to the commuters.
Doda and Kishtwar area have witnessed a heavy snowfall along with rainfall in recent times. This has resulted in many far flung villages being cut off due to snow accumulation and Avalanches, which causes heavy landslides and creates high risks to road commuters.
