SRINAGAR, Feb. 11 -- BJP legislators on Wednesday staged a walkout from the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, protesting against what they described as "unparliamentary and indecent language" used by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah during House proceedings.
Leader of the Opposition Sunil Sharma alleged that Abdullah's remarks, including phrases like "joote maaro" (hit with shoes), violated parliamentary decorum and brought disrepute to democratic traditions.
BJP members raised slogans against the National Conference-led government, demanding an unconditional apology from the Chief Minister.
