Jammu, Feb. 16 -- Five months after serving show cause notices to eight rebel leaders of the party, BJP on Friday expelled two party leaders of Kashmir Valley for indulging in anti-party activities.

According to a handout issued by the party, on the recommendation of the chairman of the disciplinary committee BJP-JK UT, Manzoor Bhat, and Asif Masoodi have been expelled from the primary membership of the party.

Sources in the party said that both the expelled leaders were disobeying the directions of the party leadership and were involved in organizing parallel functions.

Earlier in September 2023, the BJP's Disciplinary Committee issued notices to eight party rebels in Kashmir.
