Jammu, July 1 -- The Rural Development Department (RDD) resorting to double standards while disengaging backdoor appointees in Rajouri district has triggered a row.

According to the details available with Early Times the then Governor of J&K, N N Vohra, had directed the RDD to cancel all the backdoor appointments in Rural Development Department in August 2018 following which 224 computer operators were disengaged but one "blue eyed" operator was retained for the reasons best known to the officials.

Sources informed that despite clear-cut orders to discontinue all the engagements made under MGNREGA in contravention of rules/guidelines, the blue eyed computer operator managed to carry on with his job. "Govt in 2018 had cancelled 224 backdoo...
