Anantnag, Nov. 19 -- In a continued crackdown on drug peddling and narcotics smuggling in the district, Anantnag Police have arrested a drug peddler and recovered a significant quantity of contraband from his possession.
Police Post Verinag received credible information that one individual, Mukhtar Ahmad Haji son of Gh. Rasool Haji resident of Bonagund Verinag, had concealed cannabis-like substance in a tin shed near his residence. Acting swiftly on this input, a case FIR No. 110/2025 under Sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Dooru, and investigation was taken up.
