Jammu, April 6 -- Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Jammu on Sunday evening, kicking off a three-day tour of Jammu and Kashmir-his first since the National Conference government, led by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, took office in the Union Territory in October 2024.

Shah landed at the technical airport, where he was welcomed by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and senior BJP leaders, according to officials.

Amit Shah's visit attached importance, keeping in view the recent political and security related developments in Jammu and Kashmir.
