Jammu, March 29 -- As the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr approaches, online fraudsters have intensified their deceptive activities by creating fake social media shopping profiles to exploit innocent buyers, particularly targeting women in Kashmir. These fraudulent profiles, operating under names like "Lady Hut" and "Lady Hut Kashmir", have been designed to dupe people by offering counterfeit products and collecting payments through unauthorized channels.
After receiving multiple complaints regarding these fraudulent shopping pages, the Jammu and Kashmir Police issued a public advisory warning residents, especially in South Kashmir's Anantnag district, to refrain from purchasing products from these unverified sources.
