JAMMU, May 4 -- An absconder wanted in connection with a criminal case was apprehended yesterday by a team from Police Post Pallanwala. The accused, Liyaqat Ali, son of Mohammad Fareed, a resident of Raipur Mandi Bathera, Jammu, had been evading arrest for a significant period.
A warrant under Section 512 Cr.PC had been issued against him by the Hon'ble Court of Judicial Magistrate Ist Class (JMIC), Akhnoor, in relation to FIR No. 107/2023 registered at Police Station Khour.
Acting on credible input, the police successfully arrested Liyaqat Ali and produced him before the concerned court. Following the court's directions, the absconder was subsequently lodged in District Jail Ambphalla, Jammu.
