BANDIPORA, Dec. 6 -- Eighty three candidates are in fray for Phase-IV of DDC and Panchayat by-elections in Aloosa Block in this north Kashmir district.
District Panchayat Election Officer (DPEO) said that seven candidates are in fray FROM Aloosa DDC constituency while five candidates are contesting on two vacant Sarpanch seats in the block and 71 candidates are fighting for 31 Panch seats.
In the already three concluded phases, 21 Panchs were elected unopposed while three Panch seats are still vacant. In the coming phase, almost 15961 voters will exercise their franchise including 8367 Male voters and 7594 female voters at 42 polling stations of Aloosa, DDC constituency of Bandipora district.
