POONCH, Sept. 8 -- The 43rd death anniversary of Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah was observed with solemnity and reverence in Poonch Haveli today. The programme was headed by Hon'ble MLA Poonch Haveli, Mr. Ajaz Ahmed Jan, and attended by district and block-level leaders, party functionaries, and a large number of workers.
On the occasion, rich floral tributes were paid to the great leader, who is remembered as the architect of modern Jammu & Kashmir. Participants highlighted his remarkable contributions in strengthening democracy, empowering the common people, and promoting secular and progressive values in society.
