JAMMU, Feb. 18 -- The Government on Wednesday informed the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly that 219 out of 877 ventilators installed in hospitals across the Union Territory are currently non-functional, highlighting significant gaps in critical care infrastructure.

In a written reply to National Conference MLA Shamim Firdous, Health and Medical Education Minister Sakina Itoo said that while 658 ventilators are operational, 219 remain out of order.
