Jammu, Feb. 13 -- Authorities have identified as many as 200 accident-prone sites, communally called as "blacks-spots" on highways across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

Replying to a question in the Lok Sabha, Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari said that in order to make black spots accident-free, the Government has taken steps for immediate short-term measures on black spots like road markings, signages, crash barriers, road studs, delineators, closure of median openings, traffic calming measures, etc.
