UDHAMPUR, April 7 -- In a major success against illegal cattle transportation, the Udhampur Police rescued 20 bovines from the clutches of a smuggler and seized a truck being used for smuggling activities. The incident took place at Tikri Naka point, where a police team from Police Post Tikri, led by In-Charge Police Post (ICPP), was conducting routine vehicle checking. During the checking, a suspicious truck bearing registration number HR65A-9987 was intercepted. On inspection, 20 bovines were found cruelly tied and crammed inside the vehicle, being transported without any valid permission.
